It is indeed one of the most important graphs of the 2020s.
Sadly, for their own reasons, politicians missold the vaccination and that created a backlash. We lost people’s trust.
This is what I wrote in June 2021:
I significantly understated the backlash. It was rightly not just “some unease”, it was and still is, the deep hatred of being lied to and controlled.
When in 10, 20, or 100 years’ time, people will be writing the history of the 2020s, they will see the COVID pandemic as a watershed.
